Effects On Habitats
Effects on habitats is when a hazard from a volcano affects human and wild-life habitats. An example of a hazard that can cause an effect is the Volcanic Ash. It's the release of large amounts of fine-grained tephra. In 1980, there was an eruption coming from Mount St. Helens causing volcanic ash to fall like snow to the ground. Volcanic Ash can affect the human lungs when inhaled, the ash will clog up the lungs suffocating the human. It can also get into the human eyes causing it to blind itself and blocking out any light. But ash is not the only thing that can affect habitat, Pyroclastic flows destroying homes and towns. Pyroclastic flow is a dense destructive mass of very hot ash, lava fragments, and gases ejected explosively from an active volcano. So those are the effects on habitats.
